Bangalore: Once relegated to the formidably voluminous gazetteers written during the colonial era by British historians, the history of Coorg is now made accessible and concise in this book. “Nuggets from Coorg” by C.P. Belliappa runs us through the history of the region between 1600 to 1956 in 20 short narratives.

The “Nuggets from Coorg,” published by Rupa and Co., will be launched at Crosswords Bookstore, Residency Road, on March 22 at 6.30 p.m. The former Mayor of Bangalore Prema Cariappa will be the Chief Guest.
