Law and order situation reviewed

CHENNAI: Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, on Wednesday, held a meeting with police officers to review the law and order situation.

He instructed the officers to maintain peace and deal with any threats with an iron hand. Also, in order to reduce traffic-related accidents, it was essential to take severe action against those violating road rules, he told the officers.

Among those present were Chief Secretary L. K.Tripathy, secretaries of the Home and Public departments and senior police officers.
