All-round show by Mahesh

Bangalore: Mahesh’s all-round show (101 and four for 51) helped Blue Diamond Cricketers defeat Dooravani Cricketers (2) by 31 runs in a KSCA Group I, fifth division league match here recently.

The scores: Blue Diamond Cricketers 285 in 49.5 overs (Mahesh 101, A. Srinivas 52, Anis four for 37) bt Dooravani Cricketers (2) 254 in 45.5 overs (Kamakya 57, Mahesh four for 51).

Group II (II Div.): MICO SC 136 in 25.4 overs lost to BEL SC 138 for one in 23.5 overs (Shakir Hussain 74 n.o.).

SWRI 195 for seven in 30 overs (Almeen Yates 76) lost to EPF Recreation Club 198 for two in 26 overs (Subramanya Raju 72 n.o., Henry 44).

Bangalore Telephone CC 107 in 26.3 overs lost to MICO Naganathapura SC 111 for four in 21.2 overs.

CIL SC 184 for five in 28 overs (Venkatesh 63 n.o.) lost to ADE SC 188 for three in 27.1 overs (Boopathy 105 n.o., Ramesh 42).

BHEL (EDN) SC 103 in 27.5 overs lost to Karnataka State Forest SB 104 for two in 13.4 overs (Jayakumar 50).

BEML SC, KGF 127 for eight in 30 overs lost to KPTCL 128 for two in 16.3 overs (H.K. Ravi 63 n.o.).

Coaching camp

Jain Academy for Sporting Excellence (JASE) has tied up with Brad Murphy, director of the Australian Sports Gateway, to coach young cricketers.

Murphy will supervise a week-long camp in progress at the Jain International School campus in Bangalore.
