RVCE event for quiz whizzes from today

BANGALORE: The RV College Of Engineering’s quiz club is all set to conduct Under The Peepal Tree 2008, the 10th edition of its annual quiz fest.

First started as a platform to explore what quizzing had to offer in terms of depth and variety, the fest has built a reputation for itself, holding a number of college-level quizzes through the year, the highlight being Under The Peepal Tree, known to be the biggest quizfest in the country.

UTPT 2008 will be marked by six quizzes held over three days. The quizzes will each be about specific quizzing genres spanning Sport, India, Science & Technology (all for students only, March 20). The General quiz and The Audio-Visual Open quiz on March 21 are open to all.

The venue for these five quizzes is The RV Teachers College, 2nd Block Jayanagar. The action shifts to The Bell Hotel on March 22 for Fine Answers, the popular corporate quiz which sees participation of more than 70 teams each year. It offers quizzers not only the exhilaration quality quizzes give but also Rs. 1 lakh prize money.

Students and corporates must carry relevant ID proof/business cards to the quizzes. All quizzes (except The AV Open, for which teams are allowed a max of four participants) are for teams of a maximum of three members.
