Amarjeet and Sunita emerge best athletes

NEW DELHI: Amarjeet Singh of Firozpur division and Sunita of Ambala were adjudged ‘best athletes’ in the men’s and women’s sections respectively in the 55th Northern Railway athletics championship which concluded at the Karnail Singh Stadium here on Wednesday.

Both the athletes had set new marks in triple jump with leaps of 15.70 and 10.79 metres respectively.

Ambala clinched the overall team championship with 177 points ahead of Firozpur (90) and Delhi (44). — Special Correspondent
