Abilash takes hat-trick

CHENNAI: Abilash’s four for 11 including a hat-trick enabled RMK defeat Meenakshi Sundaram by 114 runs in the quarterfinals of the RMK Rolling Trophy inter-engineering cricket tournament here on Wednesday.

The scores: Quarterfinals: RMK 156 for seven in 20 overs (Venkatvasan 48) bt Meenakshi Sundaram 42 in 12.1 overs (Abilash four for 11 including a hat-trick); Easwari 123 for nine in 20 overs bt Sathyabama 121 in 19.5 overs (Ramarajan four for 23); RMD 146 for nine in 20 overs (Jude Joseph 43) bt St. Peter’s 136 for six in 20 overs; Sri Venkateswara 122 for eight in 20 overs (Guru Bhasker 41) lost to Anna University (CEG) 126 for four in 19.3 overs.
