SSC exams from today

VIZIANAGARAM: In all 30,416 students – 24,753 regular and 5,663 private – in the district are to write SSC examinations beginning from Monday. The examinations will be held from 9.30 a.m. to 12 noon. The Education Department in coordination with police, revenue and medical departments has made all arrangements for the conduct of examinations in a peaceful atmosphere. Prohibitory orders under section 144 were imposed at all the129 centres. Xerox points within 1 km radius of examination centres were ordered closed till the end of each examination, according to District Educational Officer Y. Balaiah. — Correspondent
