Two students drown in lake

VILLUPURAM: Two students, M. Sabari (13) and A. Balaji (13), drowned in a lake at Emaper near Kallakurichi on Saturday.

According to the police, Sabari was studying in Standard IX and Balaji, Standard VIII. The two drowned while bathing.

On seeing their clothes lying on the banks for along time, the passers-by informed became suspicious the villagers, who retrieved the bodies from the lake.
