SBI to issue foreign currency bonds

MUMBAI: State Bank of India on Tuesday said it would raise Rs. 6,270 crore through the issue foreign currency bonds to augment its capital and increase its lending activities. The bonds, to be issued on March 31 for a period of five years, will carry a coupon rate of 4.9 per cent.
