Two struck dead by lightning

GUNTUR: Two persons died after being struck by lightning in the district on Wednesday.

A 22-year old youth B. Bhaskar Naik was covering chilli from rain using a plastic cover when tragedy struck him on the open fields at Ghati Thanda in Bollapalli mandal near Vinukonda. In another incident, Komati Lakshmi (45), a farm labourer, was struck by lightning at Manukondavaripalam village in Chilakaluripet mandal after she ventured out onto the fields.
