CHENNAI: Due to non-interlocked functioning of the track at Arakkonam till March 31, to facilitate replacement of signalling gear, the following will be the pattern of train services passing through Arakkonam. The following express trains will be diverted to run via. Arakkonam, Chennai Beach, Chennai Egmore and Chengalpattu. They will not touch Kanchipuram and will have no commercial stoppage between Arakkonam – Chennai Egmore – Chengalpattu: Train No. 6351 Mumbai CST – Nagercoil Express leaving Mumbai CST on March 29, Train No. 1044 Madurai – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express leaving Madurai on March 29 and Train No. 6352 Nagercoil – Mumbai CST Express leaving Nagercoil on March 30. Trains that have been partially cancelled include Train No. 196 Puducherry – Tirupathi Passenger leaving Puducherry on March 29 and Train No. 195 Tirupati – Puducherry Passenger leaving Tirupathi on March 29 and 30, that has been cancelled between Tirupati and Arakkonam, according to a railway release. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
