VISAKHAPATNAM: Kirthi Kumar’s brace in the second half helped Polamamba FC beat Sportsmen FC 4-0 in the Vizag Steel Cup football tournament at the Trishna ground here on Friday.

Polamamba went ahead through Y. Johny in the 10th minute and K. Venkanna made it 2-0 in the sixth minute after the breather. Kumar scored in the next minute and five minutes later.

Sabari Sporting also moved up, beating Waltair Whites 4-2 via tiebreaker. Balu, Chiranjeevi, Ravi and Ramesh converted for Sabari while Krishna and Vinod were successful for Waltair Whites. — Special Correspondent
