VSP advances

VISAKHAPATNAM: Host Visakhapatnam Steel Plant downed Polamamba FC 5-4 in sudden death to move up in the Visakha Steel Cup football tournament at Trishna ground here on Saturday.

P. Kumar, M. Govind, Kumar, K. Suresh Kumar and Mohan scored for VSP while K. Srinu, Raju, Chinna Babu and G. Siva for Polamamba FC.

Sampath Memorial FC beat SKRFC 3-2 via tie-breaker. Y. Karthik, Madhu and Chandrasekhar converted the penalties for SMFC and B. Srinu and P. Rajesh for SKRFC. — Special Correspondent
