Leander to lead

NEW DELHI: Leander Paes will play the Asia-Oceania group ‘I’ Davis Cup tie against Japan at the R.K. Khanna Stadium here from April 11 to 13.

Mahesh Bhupathi, Prakash Amritraj and Rohan Bopanna will be the other members of the squad.

Somdev Dev Varman is reportedly busy with his University examinations in the US, and thus was not considered for selection.

Leander was the non-playing captain in the last tie against Uzbekistan in February, owing to an ankle injury.
