Six peacocks seized

Chittoor: Six peacocks were seized by the Forest Department officials from a private nursing school at Greamspet here. The birds were sent to the Tirupati Zoo. They were being reared without permission of the Forest Department, which was against provisions of the Wildlife Act. School correspondent Vijayamma claimed she had bought the birds from some persons who were planning to kill them for the meat. - Correspondent
