Vijay Hazare tournament from today

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Vijay Hazare tournament for the top two teams of each Zone’s Ranji Trophy one-day tournament will commence here on Tuesday with pre-quarterfinal matches between Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh.

A tournament named after Vijay Hazare was held in the past for juniors and from this season onwards the trophy is being awarded for the Ranji Trophy one-dayers’ inter-zone winner. — Special Correspondent
