Joint Collector assumes office

MACHILIPATNAM: G. Ramanarayana Reddy assumed office of Joint Collector of Krishna district at the Krishna district Collectorate here on Thursday.

He was earlier working as Joint Collector of Nizamabad district and is posted in the place of S. Suresh Kumar, who has been transferred to Chittoor district.

Speaking to reporters, he said priority would be given to implementation of welfare programmes in the district, more particularly supply of rice at Rs. 2 kg through fair price shops for all white ration cardholders from April 9.
