Concern over inundation

VIZIANAGARAM: Cutting across party affiliation municipal councillors have expressed concern over the submergence of low-lying areas in the town even if it rained for a few minutes.

Chairperson M. Geetha said that the municipality had sanctioned Rs. 20 lakhs for construction of culverts and invited bids. As there was no response the bids were cancelled, she added. Correspondent
