  • In an AP report “Mugabe’s party loses Parliament” (“International” page, April 2, 2008), the third paragraph was “The official results gave the opposition Movement for Democratic Change 105 seats to 93 for Mr. Mugabe’s ZANU-PF in the 210-seat House of Assembly. One seat went to an independent. That means that even if ZANU-PF wins all the remaining seats, it will not have the 206 seats needed for a majority. Seven of Mr. Mugabe’s Cabinet Ministers have lost their seats, according to official results.” It should have been 106.

  • With reference to an article “Clinical trials and the right to information” (Op-Ed, March 25, 2008), Mr. Christopher Samuel, Senior Manager – Public Relations, Monsanto Holdings Pvt. Ltd. (MHPL), clarifies that the Maharashtra Hybrid Seeds Co. Ltd (Mahyco) is not a subsidiary of multinational major Monsanto, as incorrectly mentioned.
