Better pay scales likely

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Finance Minister Birender Singh said on Saturday that the employees of the State Government would be given better pay scales as compared to their counterparts in other States and a committee had been constituted to study the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission.

While stating this in Gurgaon, Mr. Birender Singh added that in order to implement the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission, the State Government had already provided Rs.1,550 crore in the State Budget for 2008-09.
