HYDERABAD: ‘Reliance digital’ opened its first store in the city and fifth in the country. The store showcases 6,000 products including consumer electronics, home appliances, computers, mobile phones, music systems, and gaming items, belonging to 150 popular brands. The shop is set up in 25,000 sq. ft at Road No. 12, Banjara Hills. CEO of Reliance digital Ajay Baijal said here on Saturday that four more similar stores would be opened in the city in the near future, while a few outlets were in the pipeline in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and a few other towns next year. The store had 75 skilled and trained staff to guide and counsel the customers. It would be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on all seven days of a week. The price tags were displayed along with all products. The in-house service centre, RelianceresQ’ would provide pre and post-sales services. The Reliance digital would offer a loyalty programme with the concept of ‘Earn anywhere and spend anywhere’. The Reliance Retail was working out on two other formats which were still at the drawing board-level, said vice-president Venugopal. Availability of right place at a right location was an issue, he observed. The cost of property or rental value was very high, he observed. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
