Honour for Samavedam Shanmukha Sarma

GUNTUR: The Sahiti Samakhya of Guntur as part of its `Sahiti Vasantotsavam’ on the occasion of Sarvadhari Nama Samasra Ugadi celebrations will honour Bhrahmasri Samavedam Shanmukha Sarma, poet, writer and editor of Rishi Peetham here on Monday.

Author of seven popular books like Vishnu Vidya, Neelakantheswaram, and Sivapadam with a spiritual tone but great literary works, would be honoured on the occasion with Rs.10,000 and citation. Those attending the programme include PV Ramkumar, popular humour writer, cine lyricists Andesri, Vennelakanti, Sahasravadhani Garikipati Narasimha Rao, and Jonnavittula Ramalingeswara Rao.

Also to be honoured on the occasion are Burra Seetharama Sastry and P. Sivasankar, said Samakhya Secretary SVS Lakshminarayana.
