Health run organised

The city unit of Indian Medical Association organized a health run on the beach on Monday on the occasion of World Health Day to create awareness on the theme ‘protect the health from climate change.’

IMA city president and King George Hospital Superintendent T. Ravi Raju said a yearlong campaign would be taken up to create public awareness on the theme.

The health run was flagged off at RK beach by Vice-Admiral Ganesh Mahadevan, Director-General Naval Projects and culminated at YMCA evoked a good response.Mayor Pulusu Janardhana Rao, Visakha-I and MLA Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao attended. IMA secretary V. Vijaya Sekhar explained activities at a meeting held later.
