Prices will be checked, says Narayanasamy

NEW DELHI: Minister of State for Planning V. Narayanasamy on Monday exuded confidence that prices would soon come under control as a result of the steps initiated by the Centre.

“Union government has done its job, and within some days the price situation will be rectified,” Mr. Narayanasamy said.

Pointing out that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was taking initiatives including reduction in excise and customs duties, he said, “both the Centre and the States have to work together to check prices.”
