Germany, Japan post wins

Chennai: World champion Germany and Japan won their third successive matches in the third Olympic hockey qualifier at Gifu (Japan) when the tournament resumed, after a break, on Tuesday.

Germany recorded a 3-0 victory over Malaysia after leading 1-0 at half- time.

Japan outplayed Italy by five goals to one, while Poland beat Switzerland 3-2.
