Week-long protests by KVPS

Sangareddy: Kulvivaksha Vyatireka Porata Sangham’s Medak unit general secretary M. Adivaiah addressing a press meet here on Tuesday said that a week-long protest programme would be organised to highlight the plight of Dalits.

He pointed out that Dalits are barred from entering temples and that the ‘two glass’ practice is still in vogue in the district.

Adivaiah said that the issues would be discussed during Ambedkar Jayanthi week slated to begin from April 14. He said that the KVPS has objected to the Rs. 1,360.19 cr. reduction in allocations for Dalits in State budget.
