NEW DELHI: Two persons were killed in separate accidents in the Capital on Tuesday. According to the police, a mini-truck driver, Shravan Tiwari, dozed off at the wheel and the vehicle rammed into a truck on the Delhi-Noida flyover around 2-30 a.m. Shravan, a resident of Rai Bareli in Uttar Pradesh, died on the spot. Forty-two-year-old Suran Singh was killed when a speeding truck hit his Tata-407 head-on at a traffic signal in Kalyanpuri around 4 a.m. The truck driver is absconding. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
