Suraj Prabodh stuns Prajwal

MYSORE: Unseeded Suraj R. Prabodh of Karnataka, a product of Mysore Tennis Club, shocked Statemate and the second-seeded M.S. Prajwal Dev 6-0, 6-2 to enter the semifinals of the boys’ under-14 event in the De Paul AITA Talent Series at the DPIRS courts here on Wednesday.

The top-seeded Kashyap Ashok, the third-seeded Rohit R. Gowda and the fourth seed Nikhil Reddy, all from Karnataka, also entered the semifinal stage.

Boys: Under-14: Kashyap Ashok bt S. Kishen 6-1, 6-4; Rohit R. Gowda bt M.S. Rakshith 6-3, 6-3; Suraj R. Prabodh bt M.S. Prajwal Dev 6-0, 6-2; Nikhil Reddy bt Mahesh A. Bhatija 6-4, 6-2.
