“In the west, the entire handling of bulk cargoes like coking coal, limestone and sulphur is mechanised. The unloading is done directly into the hoppers and then transported by covered trucks or conveyors. Water sprinklers are erected at all critical points. Moreover, what matters is the attitude. Right from the port authorities to the contractors and to the operators, environment consciousness is very high.”
