HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has clarified that the party will take a decision on electoral alliances, including the one with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), after holding discussions with the Communist Party of India. Reports deniedCPI (M) State secretary B.V. Raghavulu dismissed the reports that the Left parties were moving closer to the Telugu Desam. The parties had been participating in the joint struggles against corruption in higher places, price rise and land related issues. These struggles would continue till the Government initiated necessary steps to remedy the situation. CLP flayedSpeaking to reporters who met him on Thursday, Mr. Raghavulu criticised the Congress Legislature Party for its reported remarks that the Left was infusing life into the TDP which lost substantial ground. “The CLP leaders should remember that it is the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance Government that is surviving on our support,” he said.
