BHADRACHALAM: Elaborate arrangements are being made for the Sri Rama Navami festival at the temple town. Over one lakh people are expected to throng the town on the occasion. Nearly 40,000 of them would be accommodated in the 36 sectors of the Kalyanamantapam (mithila stadium) enabling them to witness the rituals of the Sitarama kalyanam. The temple authorities had sought to upgrade the facilities further at the venue. Fans which were restricted earlier, only to the VIP sectors earlier, would be fitted in all the sectors. A giant screen is being arranged outside the Kalyanamantapam. Efforts are on to provide the pilgrims with food. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
