Upset win for Nikhil

Mysore: Unseeded Nikhil Prasad of Karnataka registered an upset 8-6 win over Statemate and second seed Nihal Agha to enter the final qualifying round in the boys’ under-16 singles of the AITA Talent Series tennis tournament for juniors at the MTC courts here on Saturday.

The results: Boys: U-16 singles: Qualifying round: Nikhil Prasad bt Nihal Agha 8-6; K. Rajagopal bt Pranav Divakar 8-1; Mahesh A. Bhatija bt S. Darshan Srinivas 8-2; M.B. Akshay bt Pruthvika Nagaraj 8-6.
