Protesters stop train at Adoni

ADONI: General public and business people led by MLA Saiprasad Reddy and Congress leader Rachoti Ramaiah held up Mumbai-Chennai superfast train at Adoni on Saturday demanding change in the schedule of Rayalaseema express bound for Hyderabad. People at Adoni wanted better train facility between Adoni and Hyderabad. They wanted a train that takes them to Hyderabad in the early hours. Senior Congress leader Rachoti Ramaiah said they had Rayalaseema Express which arrived at Adoni at 11 p.m. and reached Hyderabad in the early hours seven years ago. But the train was changed to 3 a.m. which reached Hyderabad after 10 a.m.

Mr. Ramaiah said the commuters had been making representations to railway authorities for the last seven years requesting them to change the timings, but it evoked no any response.
