Man attempts suicide at SP bungalow

KURNOOL: A person created flutter at the residence of Shakarbratha Bagchi, SP, here on Saturday by attempting suicide. The man was identified as Venkata Swamy from Yerragudi near Banaganapalli and is reported to be out of danger.

According to reports, Venkata Swamy lodged a complaint a few weeks that he was assaulted by a few people in the village and was abused in the name of caste. The SP asked the Deputy SP at Dhone to look into the issue.

Not satisfied, the man attempted suicide by consuming poison.
