Mumbai Open from May 10

CHENNAI: The first Mumbai International Open chess will be held at the Goregaon Sports Club, Mumbai, from May 10 to 20.

Organised by Venus Chess Academy, under the auspices of the All-India Chess Federation and FIDE, the event is the biggest international open chess tournament in India in terms of prize money, with a record prize fund of Rs.11 lakh.
