Applications invited for awards

Bangalore: The Karnataka Anuvada Sahitya Academy has invited applications from translators and publishers for awards to the translated works released in 2007. The awards will be given under 10 categories, including translation of Kannada books to foreign language, Kannada books to other Indian languages and translated works of books on science, medicine, engineering and information technology. Applications should reach the academy by May 20, according to a press release. — Staff Reporter
