3 hospitalised after complaining of breathing problems

CHENNAI: Three daily wagers were admitted to Government General Hospital on Sunday afternoon after they complained of breathing problems during a cleaning operation in a leather tannery.

According to Shankar Nagar police, the three men — S. Rajesn, 26, S. Ramesh, 22 of Pammal and Mahendra of Nangalkeni — were employed by a leather tannery in Nangalkeni to remove effluents. They suddenly complained of giddiness and were taken to the government hospital in Chromepet. The doctors there referred them to GH where they have been admitted. Police said since no case had been registered as no complaint was lodged.
