‘Arecanut growers hit by ban’

Sirsi: The Totagars’ Sale Society, Sirsi, dealing in arecanut, has said that the decision of the Maharashtra Maharashtra to ban gutka has come as a blow to growers who are already affected by price crash. In a press release issued here on Tuesday, chairman of the society Shantharam Hegde said that arecanut prices would fall further. — Correspondent
