VIZIANAGARAM: Eight leaders of Joint Action Committee of Teachers Organisations were taken into custody and released later at the beginning of ‘praja patham’ at Locherla village in Therlam mandal on Tuesday. K. Vijya Gowri, State secretary of United Teachers Federation, B. Jogi Naidu (APTF), were among those held when they were on way to submit memorandum to the Chief Minister demanding justice to the teachers deputed under GO 610 to the district. Ms. Vijaya Gowri, whom the media persons met at Badangi police station, condemned the police action and sought action particularly against Circle Inspector B.
