NGO president sentenced

Chittoor: The fourth Additional District Magistrate sentenced V. S. Siva Kumar, district president NGO Association to three months imprisonment and a fine of Rs.500 for gambling in the NGO’s home on October 2007. The CI Allabakshu raided the home and caught him and 41 members with a sum of Rs.35, 000. The distrct president requested to be absolved from the case but the judge rejected his plea. –Correspondent
