BSP clears 150 candidates for polls

Special Correspondent

BANGALORE: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has cleared 150 candidates for the Assembly elections in May. The official announcement will be made after the party’s core committee meets on Thursday.

According to party general secretary P.G.R. Sindhia, the committee, headed by general secretary and Karnataka election observer Veer Singh along with the State party president Marasandra Muniyappa, and members Mahesh and Gopinath will clear the list of candidates.

The party has decided to do away with the election manifesto. However, in line with the party’s national policy it will, if voted to power, take up clearance of slums.
