Temple consecration ceremony

Barkur (Udupi district): The renovation of ancient temples of Kachur Malatidevi and Babbuswami Mula Kshetra has been completed at a cost of Rs. 1.5 crore.

Various rituals and cultural programmes have been organised at the temples as part of the consecration ceremony, Brahmakalashotsava, between April 17 and April 24.

On Friday

Addressing presspersons on Sunday, president of the renovation committee Tallur Rama said that Siddalinga Swamiji of Kudli would consecrate the idols on April 18.

A convention of Karnataka Sri Babbuswami temples would be held on April 20.
