50 p.c. subsidy on vegetable seeds

ADILABAD: In order to control the rising prices of vegetables, the Horticulture Department will supply vegetable seeds worth Rs. 10 lakh on 50 per cent subsidy.

Assistant Director of Horticulture N.V. Ramana told The Hindu that against the usual practice of supplying seeds in June, it was being done in the beginning of May itself. Farmers could contact the nearest Horticulture Extension Officer for the subsidised seeds, he added.
