All are equal before law

No way: PCC president D. Srinivas stopped by policemen on Tank Bund where traffic restrictions were imposed on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti on Monday. -

Police in the State capital nowadays appears to be in a devil-may-care attitude sometimes. On some occasions, the law enforcers appear to be going strictly by the stipulations without showing any discrimination. Sometime ago, a traffic policeman found an honourable MP’s SUV moving in a wrong direction near Ravindra Bharati and issued a ticket promptly.

The other day, the newly-appointed APCC president D. Srinivas had a ‘bitter’ experience in the hands of a traffic cop.

When DS went to attend the Ambedkar birthday celebrations, the place around the Ambedkar Statue was heavily barricaded and several restrictions on vehicular movement were in force.

The APCC president tried to push his way through, but the traffic policeman refused to budge and remove the barricades to allow his vehicle. A hapless DS was seen requesting the cop in vain.
