56 arrested

THENI: A total of 56 persons were arrested when they picketed roads in Theni, Periyakulam and Kandamanur on Monday in protest against defacing of statue of Pon. Muthuramalinga Thevar in Madurai. They demanded the arrest of persons behind the incident. Later they were released.
