Mob beats man to death; injures another

Bulandshahr (U.P.): In yet another instance of vigilante justice, a mob beat a man to death and left another critically injured for their alleged involvement in cattle theft at Chandok village near Jehangirabad. According to reports, four men were loading a buffalo onto a truck when villagers challenged them. They tried to flee, but they were caught and beaten up.

While Yogesh (22), hailing from Sikandrabad, died en route to hospital, Ajay was admitted to a hospital with critical injuries.

Their friends Virender and Vikram, who suffered minor injuries, were handed over to police.

Police said the matter is being investigated. — PTI
