Madanapalle: The State government has released an order facilitating setting up of a 100-bed government hospital at Valmikipuram, here, according to Chief Whip Kiran Kumar Reddy. Addressing a Praja Patham meeting at Gandaboyanapalle panchayat, he said a site had also been earmarked to construct an agriculture market yard. Another site would be provided for a fire station, he said. He directed officials to ensure that all the genuine beneficiaries receive pucca houses and ration cards. Under the Indira Kranthi Patham scheme at Gandaboyanapalle panchayat, a sum of Rs. 31.45 lakh had been distributed to the women self-help groups at the rate of 0.25 paise interest. The Chief Whip also promised to release Rs. 70,000 from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund towards cost of surgery for a woman identified as Saraswathamma, who was ailing from a throat infection Revenue Divisional Officer Siva Reddy, market committee chairman Niranjan Reddy and tahsildar Srinivasulu Reddy participated. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
