New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Saturday filed a closure report in connection with the theft of 14 CPUs and other computers components from a high-security DRDO office, as it could not trace stolen articles or arrest anyone. Filing a closure report in the court of CMM Sanjeev Jain, the Special Cell stated that “the theft items 14 CPUs and other allied components are untraceable and the accused persons are not arrested in this case, so there is no point in moving the case forward”. However, if some leads are received in future the case would be reopened, the police said in the court. After going through the closure report, the court issued a notice to the complainant, Harish Kumar, Senior Security officer, Metcalf House in the DRDO office and put up for consideration of the report for May last week. Perhaps, the data contained in the computers was the main reason why they were stolen, the Special Cell told the court. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
