Ramakanth Reddy new CS

HYDERABAD: P. Ramakanth Reddy, now serving as Chief Commissioner, Land Administration, has been appointed Chief Secretary of the State to succeed A. Raghothama Rao.

Mr Reddy, who has a year and a half to go for retirement, will assume charge on Wednesday, after surpassing several seniors in the IAS.

An officer of the 1973 batch, Mr Reddy is a seasoned administrator, having served as Collector of different districts and as CMD, AP Transco, during a crucial period after APSEB was unbundled under reforms.
