ADILABAD: Adilabad MLA C. Ramchander Reddy on Wednesday assured of adequate drinking water supply in town within two months as works on laying of pipelines were under progress. He said works costing about Rs. 10 crore were in progress for supply of drinking water in town. The MLA also asked the Municipal Commissioner Shahid Masood to stop payment of salaries to Municipal Revenue Inspectors who were displaying laxity in collection of property taxes and lease money. He was responding to complaints by councillors at the general body meeting on poor drinking water supply and decreased income of the Municipality because tax dues were not being realised. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
